Two Horse-Power Police Chase

I don't think Police Horses have blue flashing lights and there isn't much to go on with the footage from this Police chase in Bristol so I wonder a) How did they actually stop him? and b) What would you do if you saw a couple of horses approaching you in your rear-view mirror?

Meanwhile, in Manchester (admittedly 2 years ago) we have this Police Horse who has taken a shining to a traffic cone.
The story (and video) is here.

Meanwhile, in The San Joaquin Valley (California) there is an Ezra Dyer story (with a video) that has absolutely nothing to do with Police or horses.

But it allows me to use the line...

DROVE MY CHEVY INTO THE LEVEE.

Signal Failure

I saw a bloke driving a Nissan Juke today.

Not sure I've ever seen one driven by a man before.

It's certainly not something you see every day.

I also saw a pink and mint coloured traffic cone on the M53:
Again, not something you see every day.

Or maybe it will be now that I know it's there.

What I do tend to see every day, especially on the M53 is people who don't understand Mirror-Signal-Manoeuvre.

This one doesn't bother with the "signal" bit at all:
I think I was miffed because I'm the BMW driver and I'd been signalling since the second exit marker.

Now I think this one has gone for Manoeuvre-Mirror-Signal which is quite a popular combination on the M53:
It doesn't look quite as dramatic on Dash-Cam as real life but I had figured out what was about to happen so wasn't too bothered.

Now, back to that Juke.

Maybe it was his wife's car.

A Lady in Saudi Can Soon Drive an Audi

Good news for the petrolhead ladies of Saudi Arabia.

There's plenty of petrol there.

Also, the Saudis are finally catching up with the rest of the planet and letting the ladies drive.  Cue sexist comments about more road deaths from ignorant comedians.  Also Islamaphobic ones from tossers, which are bound to dredge up this faked photo:
as opposed to this genuine one:
The BBC have the story here.  (The Saudi women to drive story, not the Pasta-Colander one)  They hope the change in law will be implemented by next June.

I wonder if the Saudi Girls' Council had any influence on the decision?  Here they are posing for a photo:
Meanwhile, in other motoring related news from the BBC today, a man has had a toy traffic cone embedded in his lung for 40 years.
